He has a degree in Communication Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He graduated with a specialty in Direction from the Cinematographic Training Center (CCC). During his academic stage he directed the short films Perdona nuestras ofensas (2013), nominated for a Diosa de Plata as Best Short Fiction Film; Fausto en la oscuridad (2017), for which he won the Best Director award at the Black Canvas Contemporary Film Festival; and Dejar la piel (2017), Doculatente Award for Best WIP, awarded at the 6th DOCULAB – Guadalajara International Film Festival; this award consisted of attending the IDF Academy during the 27th Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival (IDFA). Professionally, he has worked as a producer of more than a dozen short films, as well as the documentary feature, M (2018), by Eva Villaseñor, which won the Best Mexican Documentary Award at the 21st edition of the Guanajuato International Film Festival and the Ambulante Award for Documentary at the 16th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He is currently a teacher at several universities, while he develops his debut film, La mano, que aplastarnos quiere.
