He studied cinematography at the CUEC-UNAM film school in Mexico City. His work has participated in more than 10 film showings and festivals around the world and was presented at two editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated in the 3rdMexico City International Horror Film Festival Macabro (Macabro FICH, in spanish) with his short fiction film Stardust (2002). He participated in the 4th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), in the 22nd Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG, in Spanish) and in the 5thMexico City International Contemporary Film Festival (FICCO) with his short fiction film Proyecto Panorama (2006). His feature-length documentary Cárcel de carne (2009) won an Honorable Mention for Best Documentary at the 4thInternational Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City (DocsDF, in Spanish) and the Best Documentary award at the 3er Cancún Riviera Maya International Film Festival Festival. He participated in the 8th FICM and in the Short Film Corner at the 64th Cannes Film Festival with his short documentary film Sólo pase la persona que se va a retratar (2009), which won an Ariel for Best Short Documentary at the 52nd Ariel Awards Ceremony and the Jury Award for Best Documentary at the 4th DocsDF. He participated in the Morelia LAB Production Workshop at the 10th FICM to work on his screenplay La noche adentro del día.
