She studied anthropology at the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH), Unidad Chihuahua, Mexico, received a Master’s degree in history at the Colegio de Michoacán (COLMICH), Mexico, and is a doctoral candidate in history at COLMICH. She has worked in academia as an anthropologist, historian and in the dissemination of social issues. Her feature documentary Namiquipa: ayer y hoy (2005) participated in the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, United States, in 2007. Her short film Alz Jaime R (2006) won 3rd place in the 1st International Film Festival of Chihuahua. Her short film Corazoncito (2008) received Honorable Mention at the 2nd Festival of Chihuahua. Her short film La lista (2008) was presented at the 7th Cine Pobre Film Festival in Cuba. With Ecos de la revolución en Namiquipa (2010) she participated in the Official Selection of the International Ethnographic Festival in Jalapa, Mexico, in 2011. Her short documentary Gu Kautab, rituales tepehuanos en los cerros (2014) participated in the 10th Indigenous Film and Video Festival, Morelia, Mexico. Her short film Los monjes (2015) was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
