He studied cinematography at the CCC film school and graphic design at the Iberoamerican University (UIA, in Spanish) in Mexico City. His documentary short film Five O’Clock Tea (2002) was presented at more than 20 film encounters and festivals, including the 1st Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), the 3rd Chicago International Documentary Festival (CIDF), and the In The Air: Projections of Mexico program at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 2005. The film was nominated in the Best Short Documentary category at the 45th Ariel Awards Ceremony; and received First Place and the Audience Award in the documentary category at the Festival Cuadro in Mexico City. He is currently in postproduction of his first feature-length documentary El silencio de la princesa.
