Lenz Claure

He studied cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. He received the Studio 5 de Mayo Special Award at the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) for his short fiction film Felipe (2009). He worked as editor of the feature film by Julio Hernández Cordón, Las marimbas del infierno (2010), winner of the Best Mexican Feature Film Award at the 8th FICM; the Best Picture Award at the 13th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), Argentina; and the Jury and Audience Award at the 17th Valdivia International Film Festival (FICV / FICValdivia), Chile, among others. He did the sound design for the debut film by Sergio Ramírez, Distancia (2011), which won the First Coral Award for First Film at the 33rd International Festival of New Latin American Film, Havana, Cuba. He worked as editor on the documentary short film by Yaasib Vázquez Colmenares, Yubán (Tierra viva) (2011), which won the Best Short Film Award at the 1st Los Cabos International Film Festival, Baja California Sur, and the Ariel Award for Best Documentary Short Film at the 54th Ariel Awards, Mexico. His short fiction film El sonámbulo (2014) was part of the Official Selection of the 12th FICM. The film also participated in the 23rd Biarritz Festival of Latin American Cinema and Cultures, France, and the 17th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF); and received the Troféu ABD-SP at the 25th Kinoforum São Paulo International Short Film Festival, Brazil, and the award for Best Screenplay at the 9th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM).
