Alejandro Jiménez Ramos

He studied film directing at the National Institute of Image and Sound (L’INIS) in Montreal. He participated in three editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He won the Mexican Short Documentary Film award at the 2nd FICM for Bendita Muerte (2003), in co-direction with Érika Mercado and Mario Trueba. He won the Best Short Fiction Film Award at the 9th SKENA UP International Students Film & Theatre Festival, Kosovo, for Opalescence (2010); which was presented at more than 10 festivals around the world, including the 9th FICM, the 29th Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québécois, Montreal, and the 13th Lucania Film Festival (LFF), Italy. He participated at the 11th FICM and the 11th Kino-Kabaret Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Montreal, among others, with his short documentary film Disonancia (2012).
