FICM Mexican

He studied screenwriting and documentary film at the Centro Cinematográfico del Sureste (CCS) in Tabasco, Mexico. He is currently studying cinematography at the CUEC-UNAM film school. In 2012, he received a grant from the Stimulus Program for Creativity and Artistic Development (PECDA, in Spanish) to write the script for the feature film El mundo olvidará nuestras palabras. With his screenplay Si queremos quedarnos solos, he won 3rd place in the Latin American short film screenwriting contest at the 3rd International Film Festival in the Desert (FICD), Mexico. He was selected to be a Young Juror at the 4th Riviera Maya Film Festival (RMFF), Mexico. His short film Prohibido caminar en círculos (2015) participated in the 11th Monterrey International Film Festival, Mexico, and in the 18th Equinoxio Student Film and Audiovisual Festival, Colombia. His short film El verano del cerillito (2015) won the Jury Award at the Sixth University Rally of the Guanajuato Film Festival (GIFF), Mexico, and the Best Director award in the first edition of the Premios 360 for Independent Filmmakers in Mexico. El verano del cerillito participated in the 22nd Latin American Video and Audiovisual Arts Festival of Rosario (FLVR, in Spanish), Argentina, and was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
