He studied visual arts with a specialty in film, video and animation at the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM, in Spanish), Cuernavaca, Mexico. He is a visual artist who specializes in video, photography, animation, production and new media. He is currently working in video mapping and video-installation, through the experimentation of diverse techniques of digital animation, projection, holography and manipulation of live video, focused on the exploration of the relation of sound and image. He also works as an independent artist for companies such as Microsoft, Dell, IBM, Volkswagen and SEAT. He participated in the Reto DocsDF 201, and Guadalajara Talents and Doculab.2 of the 26th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). He received the Young Creators Grant of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) during the period 2008-2009. His work has been presented at more than 10 film screenings and festivals in Mexico, including two editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He won the Best Documentary Short Film Award at the 3rd FICM with Teatro mágico (2004), which was also part of the Official Selection of the 1st Ambulante Documentary Tour, Mexico; the 4th Independent Hispanic AmericanFilm and Video Festival, “All Voices Against the Silence,” in Mexico City; and the 3rd Biennial Cuadro Short Film, among others. He won a Special Mention of the Jury and the Audience Award at the 3rd Kinoki International College Film Festival, Mexico City, for his documentary short film La ciudad de las Arenas (2007). He participated in the 4th “All Voices Against the Silence,” Festival with Retrato de un contorno (2009), which received a Special Mention for Documentary Short Film at the 7th FICM.
