He studied design at the Design School of the National Institute of Fine Arts (EDINBA), Mexico City. He is a founding member of the animation collective Viumasters. His work with this studio includes the digital composition for the videoclip Bestia (2009) by the Mexican rock group Hello Seahorse!; the design for the credits of the second documentary feature by Yulene Olaizola, Paraísos artificiales (2011), selected for the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and for Michael Rowe’s first feature, Año bisiesto (2010), presented at the 8th FICM and winner of the Golden Camera award at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival, France; the visual effects for the short fiction film by Christina Esquerra, Caminando las noches (2012), selected by the 10th FICM; and the short film Etéreas (2013) of the animation duo Flaminguettes, comprised of Mara Soler Guitián and Daniela Villanueva. His work as a director has been shown in more than 10 film screenings and festivals around the world. He participated in the 8th FICM with his animated short film Xochimilco 1914 (2010), co-directed with Mara Soler, Esteban Azuela and Carlos Gamboa (members of the collective Viumasters), in the “Canal 22 presents…” program. This work was nominated for an Ariel for Best Animated Short Film at the 53rd Ariel Awards, Mexico; it won the Best Mexican Animated Short Film award at the 13th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF); and received an Honorary Mention at the 12th Crystal Screen Festival, Mexico City. His animated short film Dinámica (2011) was part of the Official Selection of the 4th CutOut Fest International Animation and Digital Art Festival, Querétaro, Mexico, and of the 4th Imatge, Dansa i Nous Mitjans (IDN) International Dance and Technology Festival, Barcelona, Spain, among others. He won a Special Mention for his animated short film Retrato político (2013) at the 10th Monograph Show of Media Art at the 13th International Image Festival, Manizales, Colombia. He did the digital composition for the animated short film El Don de los espejos (2013), within the collective Viumasters and directed by Mara Soler Guitián, which is part of the Official Selection of the 12th FICM and which won the Animated Short Film award at the 9th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM).
His short film Bzzz was part of the Selection of Mexican Short Films in the category of animation at FICM 2017.
