He graduated from a B.A. in Graphic Design from the Gestalt University of Design in Xalapa, Veracruz. From 2007 to 2009 he was a graduate student at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts) in Canada. He worked as a professor of animation in the specialty Illustration and Digital Animation Design at the Gestalt University of Design in Xalapa. He has participated as an animator, director of animation and director in music videos, short films and animated series in Mexico and in Canada. In 2013 he presented his short film El móvil / The Mobile at the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), co-directed by Carlos Hagerman. In 2015, Los ases del corral / Barnyard Aces, co-directed by Manuel Báez, was part of the Official Selection of the 13th FICM, and it won the award for Best Short Film at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana, in Cuba, and the Silver Goddess for Best Animated Short Film, in Mexico. His work has traveled in different festivals, including the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) and the Jecheon International Film & Music Festival (JIMFF) in Seul, Korea.
