He participated in the editing of the short film by Amat Escalante, El cura Nicolás colgado, which was part of the collaborative work Revolución (2010), presented at the 8th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and selected for the 49th Critics’ Week at Cannes. The film won the Abrazo award for Best Feature Film and the French Union of Film Critics Award at the 19th Biarritz Festival of Latin American Cinema and Cultures, France. He competed as director at the 8th FICM with this short fiction film Gaza (2010), which was also part of the Official Selection at the Baghdad International Film Festival (BIFF), Iraq; of the 13th Irish Latin American Film Festival (ILAFF), Ireland; and the 13th International Film Festival of Santa Fe de Antioquía, Colombia. He participated with his short fiction film Un lugar en el océano (2012) in the 18th San Giò Verona Video Festival, Italy; the 8th International Film Festival of Pasto (FICPA), Bogotá, Colombia; and the Short Film Market at the 27th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, France, among others. He also worked in the art department of Heli (2013), by Amat Escalante, which was presented at the 11th FICM and won the Best Director award at the 66th Cannes Film Festival, France. His short fiction film De hombres y bestias / Of Men and Beasts (2014) won the Studio 5 de Mayo Special Award at the 12th FICM.
